I will be carrying on to make the final revisions for my concepts designs I had created for some classic novels and films from MMC401.7. I chose to take one idea forward, i will try to find an idea for my project by gathering research on Godzilla as a theme.
I will be using various websites and inspiration online, i will be doing a lot of sketches and taking notes I will be looking into many different concepts and illustrations based on the theme i will be making.
Why am i choosing to do a illustration on Godzilla? i am a really big fan of Godzilla, i loved the latest movie that came out this year. and wanted to really see what i can illustrate about him. anything to do with him, the destruction, the city that its based in, the history, enemies and more.
I will at the conclusion of this research and development choose what to create for Godzilla by the end of it and why i chose to do it.

What is A Kaiju
Kaiju (怪獣, kaijū ?) is a Japanese word that means "strange creature," but often translated in English as "monster" or "giant monster". Specifically, it is used to refer to a genre of tokusatsu entertainment.
The most famous Kaiju is Godzilla but there are tens of other creatures typically modelled after conventional animals, insects or mythological creatures like Mothra, King Kong, Gamera, or King Ghidorah to name a few.
Related terms include kaijū eiga (怪獣映画 kaijū eiga, monster movie), a film featuring giant monsters or a single monster; kaijin (怪人, referring to roughly humanoid monsters); and daikaiju (大怪獣 daikaijū, giant kaiju), specifically meaning the larger variety of monsters.

Godzilla is an example of a daikaiju; others include Gamera, Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla and Daimajin. The term ultra-kaiju is longhand for kaiju in the Ultra Series.
Origin of Godzilla
In the late Cretaceous era (70 million years ago) there was a species of therapod dinosaur resembling a large Tyrannosaurus, but with special amphibious adaptations which allowed it to swim between the islands upon which it hunted. This dinosaur species has been dubbed "Gojirasaurus".
Minimal amount of the Gojirasaurs species somehow survived the great extinction event which killed off other dinosaurs and continued into the modern era. Adaptations which aided the gojirasaurs in their survival probably included the ability to lay dormant for extended periods of time, and to endure high heat and radiation environments like active volcanic regions.
Living in the South Pacific, the gojirasaurs were observed only on rare occasions by the island people of simple fishing villages who incorporated the stories of these strange beasts into their folklore.
All but one (or perhaps two) of the gojirasaurs were apparently destroyed in World War II. One gojirasaurus was severely injured by Allied attack, but managed to cling to life on the remote island of Lagos (near the Marshal Islands in the South Pacific Ocean) until post-war nuclear tests caused him to be subjected to a huge dose of radiation. The radiation caused the gojirasaurus' already radiation-attuned physiology to rapidly mutate/adapt.
The animal grew and changed until the gojirasaurus had developed into an entirely new form of creature... Godzilla!
Project decision
For my final project I'm thinking of making a tribute infographic for Godzilla, his enemies, facts, statistics about his movies and more, the style i will make it a similar to a propaganda style piece. This is because the style is unique and has been used for similar Godzilla art pieces but not in a style for it to be a info graphic, i want to make it to really test myself in creation process of it.
I will be looking at various tutorials and methods to gain knowledge from and will continue the research links to videos and websites that really helped in creating it. I will then use all the research and statistics i have gathered and try to present it in a format for it to be a fun way to know facts about Godzilla.
I will also not be looking into the history of Godzilla i will also try to incorporate a style of Japanese feel to it as Godzilla originated from that culture and i wanted to bring some of that feeling back for the person who is looking at it.
As you know japans flag is a white flag with a red circle in the middle of it, i want to use mainly those two colors and slight variants of to give it the feel of japan, i think both those two colors will work well within the info-graphic because it will create a good contrast between them and will make the info-graphic stand out much better once it is printed.
